Music

We aim to engage all children in making music and singing songs along with listening and responding to a wide range of music.

They have opportunities to perform to an audience using set productions in addition to composing and improvising their own music.

We use the Charanga scheme to aid the exploration of the different elements of music including pitch, tone and rhythm as well as using formal notation.

In Key Stage One, Mrs O from Warwickshire Music Service teaches violin and singing and in Key Stage Two pupils have the chance to learn guitar with peripatetic teachers.

Attached below is the Knowledge and Skills Progression document for Music.  This details the areas children will cover in various year groups.
